Emily Beattie
Emily was born and raised in Guelph. She studied Acting for Media in Toronto but found her way back to Guelph in 2018. Emily has loved animals from a young age and adopted her first dog, Bruce, in the fall of 2021. She fell in love with the training process and this led her to dog walking and training. Seeking a more challenging environment, Emily started with Guelph Lake Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2023 and has enjoyed meeting and helping care for the pets of our community. In her off time, Emily is an avid rock climber and continues to act in theatre and media productions as much as she can.

Kate menard
Kate grew up in Red Lake, a small town in Northwestern Ontario. She graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in biology and later completed her Master’s degree at the University of Guelph in 2023 studying animal biosciences and equine physiology. Kate has always loved animals from a young age and has the goal of becoming a veterinarian herself. She joined the Guelph Lake Vet team in 2023 and has enjoyed her time here further building her knowledge and experience while assisting in the care of your pets. In her free time Kate enjoys cooking, reading, and being outdoors.
